Battle with spyware

Well I think my battle with spyware at the current time is over. Sometime yesterday one of my roommates downloaded something or rather and put 20 odd viruses and about 200 cases of spyware on my computer. I got rid of most of them but there were a few that were extremily persistent "about:blank" or something a hijacker. So I formatted and now I just finished protecting myself and cleaning out the registry manually.
Anyway long story short, don't let anyone touch your computer lol.

But at least you saw it and put a stop to it. I let plp use my computer but Iam setting right there and they are playing a game. And thats as for as they can go. Lol

That was probably the nastiest spyware I've ever had to get rid of...don't remember how I did it, but it kept me frustrated for over a week.
