Hi folks, 1st time poster. I am curiouse if anyone knows if there is a way to set the vcore voltage by .05 increments instead of the stock +5%, +7.5%, +10%. Those are the only options listed in the bios. Reason I ask is 'cause I just ordered 1 new AMD Mobile Athlon XP 2400+, 266 MHz FSB, 512K L2 Cache, 35 Watt, 1.35 voltage OEM CPU from newegg. It has great reviews. People are OC'ing it to 2.4Ghz easily in the 1.6-1.7 voltage range.
Will I be able to get my voltage up to 1.6-1.7 to get the overclock I'm looking for? Or will I be stuck at 1.485v max, and have to buy a new board? any info is greatly apreciated, thx.

If there isn't any option available in your bios to set voltages, I'm afraid you'll need another board to do some decent overclocking. But you can always see how far you get with this one.

Just calculate the voltage scale increase and be careful if you start getting over 1.7 volts

Thx for the replies folks. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to get a new board to get the OC i'm lookin for. 1.35 volts X 10% = 1.485. That looks like the max this board will go with this cpu. I've read about some speaker wire trick mod that may help in this scenario. Gonna look it up. Anyone else ever do that 1 before?

My luck I would fry the chip and th board.

Don't go by the CPU's default 1.35v, your board will not even run that low. Instead, go by your boards default voltage and multiply that by 10%.
I still think you should be able to get a decent OC even with that board.

Maybe you can find something by searching through this forum: http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=48&sid=ea67ecb6acabfbfe47adaa364cf47827 Surely someone has mentioned it in the 53 pages.
