Federal prosecutors are calling for the author of a variant of the infamous Blaster worm to be jailed for 37 months - ahead of a sentencing hearing due later this week. Jeffrey Lee Parson pleaded guilty last August to releasing a modified version of the Blaster worm.

yeh, if the RIAA can get by putting such massive sentences/fines against pirates, then virus creators should get the death penalty. true, that might be a bit extreme, but it should be a far greater punishment than "stealing music i didn't even plan to ever buy in the first place"
