Hey there, wanted to ask a question about overclocking & want to also preface the post by saying I never intended to OC my system until I started discovering my system may be a good candidate.

I have the following:

Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
Intel P4 2.4C Processor (Retail HSF)
2x512 Kingston Hyper-X Unbuffered/Non-ECC
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro
SB Audigy 2 ZS
(2) 30GB IBM Deskstar HDD
Enlight EN-7230 case w/ 360W PSU
(2) 80mm case fans

When I try a OC of 250 FSB (3.0Ghz) with a 5:4 divider for the memory the system will boot, I can run Sandra CPU & memory benchmarks. When I play Half-Life 2 for maybe 30-45 minutes the video will start acting flaky. The system will appear to freeze, then the monitor blanks. I can CTRL-ESC to get the desktop & the video re-appears.

Having done some researh I'm thinking my problem certainly is the PSU. Is that a fair assumption or should I look elsewhere?

Thanks,
Rob

I would figure video flickers would mean your video card but I could be wrong. How are your temps when you OC? Idle and load?

Do you have the latest video card drivers?

Running the Sandra Burn-In tests for about 12 hours produced 40C/104F temps.

I have the latest Catalyst drivers. Revision 6.14.10.6505

Leaving PCI/AGP at 33/66?

Monitored PSU voltages? That one seems like it would be sufficient...

Monitored videocard temps?
