Didn't...
Slutty commercial that's funny = cool.
Slutty commercial that's not = not.

It was actually leaned toward how messed up censorship has become in this country. It was anywhere near being provocative, no more than any regular daytime tv show. We actually had 2 spots and fox pulled it.
Personally I feel if someone doesnt like what they are seeing on tv, dont watch it.

Yea, started couple weeks ago as a customer support tech. I will admit that I think the ad is lil lame(I hope the parson isnt readin this :|) but it did serve a purpose.

That be the same purpose as the entire 'Spike TV' advertising plan?
The one where they advertise CSI reruns through sex appeal?

I was disappointed overall with all of the Superbowl ads. There wasnt very many that had me in the floor like years past.

I personally think that the ads weren't funny on purpose...sort of the writers' getting back at the NFL. (its not funny if its not racy, so we'll just do ads that are lame) I can't believe the advertisers paid the Superbowl rates for the lame commercials they showed.
I did like the MC Hammer one, though.
I did actually watch much of the Superbowl, last year was the first time I had watched it in probably a decade or more, partially 'cause I usually worked on Sunday, partially 'cause I wasn't interested. I really didn't plan on watching it, I was watching something else, and they mentioned the Superbowl on a commercial.
To show you how lame the commercials were....I forgot that they were supposed to be special until well after halftime. (I started watching it just before the Pats' first touchdown)
Definitely wanted to catch the halftime show...Janet showed her titty last year, thought maybe Paul would show his nuts or something. :vomit:

I'm going to have to go with Caj on this.. I feel there is no decency left in this world any more.... keep it in the bedroom, it's supposed to be an intimate thing.. all these reality shows full of orgies disgust me I'd like to shoot all of them... heh

"In a new study released today, violenced was linked to reality shows full of orgies. Apparantly, the study claims that a lack of decency on televison programs leads to violence in the form of shooting people."
Ha, I am with you though - [smilie=new_snipersmilie.gif] spree!

What's interesting is that something like 3 million viewers quit even watching the game once the halftime show went underway. I think the FCC's actions backfired this year. The commercials and half time show were weak from what I've heard, causing people not to even tune back in to see the end of the game after half time.

Did you all know they pulled a Lincoln commercial from being aired? For the new Mark LT pickup truck.. the collection plate at a church gets back to the priest with a set of keys in it, so he walks outside and sees the Lincoln Mark LT, then someone comes up and takes the keys "Kids these days.." and gets in and drives off... then something about the priest holding L and T around the "Forgive (line break) Us" sign or something... "Forgive Lust"... something to that effect..

I'm not going to say that the halftime show was "bad"...but then, I WAS alive when all of the songs he sang were recorded...unlike most of you, and probably well over 50% of the people watching it.
"Live and Let Die" was the newest song he did. Where were you in 1973? LOL
Hmmmm....wonder if he had to ask Michael Jackson if he could perform the Beatles numbers? (MJ owns the copyrights to all of the Beatles catalog, including the songs Paul wrote)
Why Sir Paul McCartney? But then too, why Janet Jackson? She's a has-been too.
It would be impossible to please the entire audience...but you probably should try to please at least a good percentage of the target audience (of the Superbowl), which I would assume is males 20 - 30 years old.

LOL...
Drive My Car: 1965...Caj, your parents were in freaking diapers. [smilie=binkybaby.gif]
Hell, my 13 y/o grandson's grandparents were in the 3rd grade.
Get Back: 1969
Hey Jude: 1970
The thing that immediately killed me, McCartney always hated "Live and Let Die" for some reason...it was written and performed by "Wings" and he never allowed his name to be attached to it. I guess he probably has mellowed at 62, and being his most popular post-Beatles song, he feels differently about it now.

I finally saw the commercial today and... I really didn't see anything *racey* about it. Yes, the strap on her tank top came loose, but people seem to be complaining just because it played off of last year's halftime fiasco. C'mon, we knew at least *one* advertiser was going to go there. We obviously don't need to be reminded about it, but I couldn't see anything actually offensive, even in the unedited version. People just want something to complain about. Heck, there were even complaints to the FCC about how *boring* the McCartney halftime was.
