Kinda makes we want to retink my career path :P I had a teacher in HS who kept trying to put the CD in the ROM w/out opening it first. The sad thing is that it was a comptuer course

My favorite skit from my tech support days goes a little as follows;

Me: Ok now click on this... this.. that.. ok now you should see this.. and it could be either this or this, which do you see?

Customer: Should I turn my computer on?

*mute button* [smilie=BangHead.gif]

Me: That would be a good *mute* F@#!$%ing *unmute* start sir.

My best story is one that happend to one of my freinds:

On her first day working customer serice at Staples, a customer came in 'demanding' that they give him a stronger drink holder for his new computer

CLASSIC, thats all I have to say

I've heard working in pc tech support can be hell. I used to know someone online who worked chat support for Gateway and some of the stories he told were hilarious.

Like the one where the chick looked in her Windows system folder and decided everything was too unorganized, so she put all the files in folders by alphabetical order. :roll:

Hehe...

Had some funny stuff in the past.. people sticking CD's in the 5.25" floppy drive.. clicking both mouse buttons at once for a "double-click".. the most often was people would reword the error messages and try to blame us "InternetCDS has disconnected you from the internet AGAIN" -- "Sir, I don't believe the error message says that." "No actually it says there was no dial tone on the line how do I fix it!" "...."

I had a friend call me once asking me if it was ok to delete the files in her Windows directory whos name didn't make sense. She thought they were viruses, or mistakes by microsoft, At least she called me beforehand. Another time she called me over to install her internet cause she had tried alteast 10 {im serious} times to install it. What was the problem? She didn't have a modem. I think she thought the signal came through the power cable or something.

Comical stuff that. Can't wait to start working for the school board and see what crap I find.
