Anyone have some experience painting a monitor cause this off white 19" monstrosity on my desk is ruining my Feng Shui. dunno maybe it's time to save up and up/down grade to a 17" LCD.

You'll hardly notice the difference in screen size... when I had my 19" CRT and 17" LCD side by side, the 19" CRT's screen was maybe 1/4" taller and wider, if that..
I've painted monitors in the past, spray paint just doesn't usually go well with the plastic.. glossy paint picks up all the small deformations in the surface of the plastic and looks like crap if you do it unevenly at all.. with flat you have to do many light coats to get it to look nice.. again, evenly... make sure to clean it Good.
This is of course after tearing it apart

You know I've thought about it and I've decided that I deserve a second monitor .

Id say save some some your hard earned movie money and buy one of those "17 or even "19 LCDs from Staples we saw a few weeks back. Should be on sale again soon

Just be sure to get at least 400:1 contrast and I really really recommend the lowest refresh possible... I've gamed on 25ms LCD's... ghosting gets annoying, my 16ms is 10x better, you really only see it if you're looking for it.
