I'm new to overclocking, but I have read every guide I can find. I have a question about temps in Speed Fan. Here's my best rendition of the configuration screen.
LABEL CHIP SENSOR SAMPLE BUS ADDRESS
HD0 HD0(122.9GB) HD0 30C SMART $0
Remote LM90 Remote 53C nForce2SMBus $4C
Temp LM75 Temp 1C nForce2SMBus $4E
Local LM90 Local 45C nForce2SMBus $4C
Temp2 WinbondW83627HF Temp2 46C ISA $290
Temp3 WinbondW83627HF Temp3 40C ISA $290
Temp1 WinbondW83627HF Temp1 36C ISA $290
Temp1 ACPI Temp1 25C ISA $0
This is a Soltek SL-75FRN2-RL board with an AMD 2800+ Barton CPU. According to the utility that came with the board the CPU core temp corresponds to Temp2 and the external CPU Temp2 corresponds to the first Temp1. MBM5 says the temp labeled Remote is my CPU core temp. I hope not!!! I've seen it go as high as 65C with no overclock!!! I know HD0 is my hard drive and there's no way anything in the box is at 1C. So, do I need to worry about that Remote temp? Can you tell me what these other temps are??
Thanks,[/img]
