Hey and welcome,

Start by reading some of this (http://forums.ocia.net/viewtopic.php?t=464) guide. This guide doesn't cover the current AMD 64 processors, but the basics are the same. I'm planning on adding a part on AMD 64 overclocking since I recently got mine and I had some time to play around with it and read up on it.

Hopefully Playafly will help me out with publishing it on this site.

See how far you get and as soon as you run into problems you post back and we'll do our best to help you out.

I dont know if you got a chance to read playafly's articles on overclocking the 64 series, but I will give you the links to them anyway.
This 754 (http://www.ocia.net/articles/754oc/754oc.shtml) article covers more of the basics of overclocking the Athlon 64. I reccomend reading it frist and then reading the 939 (http://www.ocia.net/articles/939oc/939oc.shtml) article.

Also take a look at the overclocking guide by Jurtje. Let us know if you have any other questions and let us know how your overclocking goes.

It was very weird, as soon as i submitted this post, my system shutoff as soon as i clicked the mouse. It wouldnt turn back on so i had to reassemble, i guess something was shorting out =X.
I'll get to reading those articles =)

i found an option in my bios to overclock my cpu by percent(up to 10%)
would this be a good way to go?
I set it to 10 percent and i checked cpu-z and it went from 2.0 to 2.2 ^^

I am sure that you will see a performance increase, but many times you can see an even bigger gain in overclocking than just 10%. Not a bad place to start though.....

Alright, so i've read the articles and i understand that i have to increase fsb speed. Is this all or did i read too fast? Well if someone would like to help me in overclocking this system, how should i start increasing the speeds and at what increments?

I am guessing that from your post in the for-sale section, you no longer need asistance?

I've seen people has taken this mobo-cpu combination to 2.5 ghz. There is a trick to lock the pci bus......

The pro versions have a supposedly functional pci-lock, the standards didn't.
