Ok i have a 2.4C with a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard with 1GB of Corsair PC4000. I have 512MBs of Kingston HyperX PC3500 and could only hit 3GHz. With the Corsair i cant get higher then 3GHz either. No matter what i do, use higher voltage in the ram and CPU, relax my memory settings all the way, turn off any perfomance stuff in the BIOS. Nothing that I do will allow me to go higher. Anyone know how i can get higher.

Tried using a divider on the memory ?

A very important thing, what are your temps. Is your cpu getting over 55c?
Do you have a good power supply & is it big enough? Does any of your volages flucuate & are they going much below what they are suppose to be at?
Refering to what silenze said, what speed is your memory running at? If your not sure you should try either one of these 2 programs, CPU-Z or SisSandra.
Or you may have just hit the capabilities of the cpu.

i have a 450watt PSU. My memory is running at 166MHz and my Memory timing is relaxed all the way. Also my temps at idle are 24C / 75F, and load there about 50C / 120F.

Yea you can take your memory out of the picture then. Is 166 what shows in the bios? if it is & your running a 1:1 memory multiplier its actually running at 332mhz (166 x 2) & thats no where near your memorys rated speed.
How do you voltages look? You can check either in the bios or get a program like Motherboad Monitor or Hardware Sensors Monitor (what I use) to keep an eye on them. You want to make sure that your voltages arnt flucuating (droping) too much which will cause instability.
btw, thats a nice mobo you have. If I would have know better when I built my machine I would have bought either that or an Abit IC7-G.

Starting to sound like the CPU is at it's limit.. maybe not in overall clock speed but at least in FSB.. scanned over a review of this cpu on this board and their limit was 275Mhz FSB or 3.3Ghz with the memory at '166'..

Ya im thinking that maybe i just didnt get that good of a chip. O well a 600MHz OC is a good OC, i guess ill just stick with that. BTW according to CPU-Z my ram is running at 163.3MHz and my FSB:DRAM is 3:2

Yea if your voltages are stable.....
most likely the chip isnt just going any higher cause I know thats a good mobo you have, actually ASUS's top line 478skt mobo.
I have the same problem with mine, 3.2g is the limit. Anything higher than 1.65v & it locks up even thou temp it only like 50c at load.
