So I got the lanparty NF4 dr and I've been trying to configure the bios, but it's like it's written in a whole different language. I got it up to 240 now with the advertised latency of my memory, but I have no clue what to set and where.

I'll be reading dfi-street for a while now, but I know that Sil and Playa have pretty much the same board, so if they would be so kind to tell me their personal experiences and settings!

To be continued.....

Anything you haven't figured out ?

It looks the same as all my other A64 boards to me :P

Allright, got around to some trying, but I can't get the damn thing stable on 2500mhz

Settings: 10*250 VID 1.65 3-4-4-8 (pc4000 with those settings)
Everything else of the memory on auto, cpc enabled.
3.2 volt dram, higher voltages don't make it more stable, nor on mem or cpu.
HTT 4x (1000)
Max mem around 260, cpu also around 2600
OCCT craps out after 3 mins
Tried fiddling with those memory settings, but doesn't help me to get it more stable, there's a freakin' million of 'em.
Temps all under 50
PCI locked
Samsung TCCC chips on my corsair.
Winchester 3200

Anybody can give me an idea on how to get this POS stable?

i struggled with this board for a while, but the key for me was to flash the bios. the one that shipped with the board was horrible. maybe give that a try...

Bios I use: http://www.lejabeach.com/DFI/dfinf4ultra/N4D623-3.zip

I don't fiddle with anything but cas/ras to cas/tras/ras precharge..

Are those modules specified to run at 1T ? (CPC Enabled)

Thanks guys for your replies, since I'm in the middle of my exams, I don't have too much time to overclock.

But as a kind of study break I played around some more the other day and I got this:

Memory: it's supposed to run 250 @ 3-4-4-10-1T but I can't get it stable above 240 MHz, no matter at what voltage. So I kept it at 240 and was able to tighten the settings to 3-4-3-6-1T and everything else on auto. I'm using the new beta-bios btw. It's running these settings with 2,9 volt now, but I bet I could lower it.

CPU: so I thought, what the hell, let's use a different memory divider and guess what, running stable at 2650 MHz right now. I can't get any higher even though I take the voltage to 1.75 v (Winchester 3200 10x). It's running at 1.65 now. I left the LDT at 3x, but I guess I should try 4x as well since it's not too far off, right?

Now some questions:

- Nobody has any idea how I can get my memory at its rated 250 MHz?
- I saw somewhere that Silenze increased his LDT voltage, what does that help for? I still have mine at stock.
- LDT @ 3x or 4x?
- Recommendations to get some more juice out of this setup?

->OMG, it's fun to overclock, isn't it!

Please supoort this work in progress!

I had to increase chipset voltage on the Neo2 to get it to boot 340x8.. haven't had to touch it with the DFI board.

I've ran my HTT up to 275 with a 4x LDT multiplier without problems on the default voltage.

What is your memory specified to run at 250-3-4-4-10-1T what voltage ? The samsung UCCC I just tested didn't care about volts, would do 200-275 on 2.7v.. but it didn't like any changes in timings.. more volts would only cause error..

Have you tried a 9x multi at 250HTT, ram at 1:1 with the specified voltage & timings? If it doesn't work try the 623-3 bios, if that doesn't work... try one stick... then the other.. could possibly be a bad one?

Thanks Sileze, I will try this this weekend.

Another question, the only difference I can find between the different -1,-2,-3 BIOSes is the advanced settings of memory. Do you leave them as they come or do you set everything to auto?

I only set CPC, Tcl, Trcd, Tras and Trp..

Any more tweaking I usually do through windows with A64 tweaker..

Both the BH-5 and the UCCC memory run great on the 623-3 bios.
