Given those parameters I think you're looking at an X800 flavor. Unfortunately the PCIe tend to cost less, no doubt because of the extra hardware required to convert the card to AGP, although if you can scrounge up a bit more, hold out for a PRO or even better, XL. Early PRO models had some success unlocking the extra 4 pipes (to make it an XT) however it seems none of the later ones can.

Galaxy 6600 GT- go to ebay they come up for bid under $200.00 and also try XFX 6600GT same place.

Considering the cards available in AGP right now...
X800 or 6800 Vanilla... both about the same performance, cept a 6800 is only $165.. X800 $230 (newegg)

I know that there's always the argument of "well the next one up is so much better", but I think it's justified to use here. I've been pricing out the cards in teh 6800 range lately (mostly for amusement, cause I can't justify spening the money ;)) and price for performance the GT is SUCH a better deal then the 6800. There's such a big gap in performance between those two cards that they really shouldn't be in the same series.

After a lot of looking around i finally found a gigabyte x800 pro i also bought a arctic cooling vga silencer but i have not installed that yet!
I did a little bit of overclocking on it with the standard cooler and managed to get it up to 550/1000 and got a 3dmark05 score of just over 5800 which is a damn sight better than my previous best of 1760 with my 9600 atlantis.
Hopefully i will be able to overclock it a bit more when i install the arctic cooler and some arctic silver 5! hopefully i will be able to get a 3dmark05 score over 6000!!

i installed my arctic silencer and managed to overclock the x800 pro to 559/1180 and this gave me a 3dmark05 score of 6006
not bad for a card that only cost me $200!!!
