Hi.
Need a little help.
I have an ASUS EN7900GT 2DHT 256MB, with an Athlon 64 3800+ Venice.
However i only scored 70k in aquamark3. Stock settings.

maybe you are right
is just that i upgraded from a 6600gt and i scored 57k with it and i dont think there is a great improvement between 57k and 70k

Normal for aquamark3, it sees larger gains from cpu/memory, 3dmarks would be a better comparison for the two cards with todays games...

Your score doesn't look right. Your GFX should be much higher than that. Even my 6800u and Silenze 7600GT is getting higher scores. My opinion your overclock on your video card is hurting you.
Have you tried running at stock settings? Maybe your CPU is bottle-necking your system... I don't know, just seems low to me...
By the way overall your system is looking pretty darn nice... Congrats... [smilie=icon_thumright.gif]

Bottlenecking..... Whats that?

It is where one component or more slows down the higher components. Other words I don't think you video card is not running at its full capabilities. But than again your 3DMark06 score is looking real nice... To me owning a 7900GT and getting a lower score than a 6800U would piss me off...
silenze
11-17-2006, 08:54 AM
It's the CPU, Netburst/HT is the suck. On top of that it's not a dual-core, we get a boost in graphics performance thanks to multi-threaded drivers there as well.

I wonder if SLI is recognized in AM3?
silenze
04-24-2007, 10:22 AM
Yes, SLI makes a big difference in AM3 due to the low FPS being roughly double that of a single card setup..
Playafly187's CPU is bottlenecking with the 8800GTX SLI in AM3......
Avalanche
04-24-2007, 11:20 AM
Even so you would think we would get a better score than Mr. Ripley's single GTS (186590)
silenze
04-24-2007, 11:37 AM
Nope, AM3 is very CPU bound, the graphics count for nothing if you don't have the CPU to match, Playafly might even get a higher score with a single card in AM3 because of that...
