I suppose that new score would be with the SLI bridge? Pretty impressive. Now all you need is an FX-60 and you'll be set!
Just for fun today, I ran my old Dell through the 3DMark05, the results were...interesting. I think it scored about 1230 or so, so not so bueno. But what do you expect with unclockable components and a proprietary motherboard? Conclusion, Dell can suck it.

nice job bio. i see you got your self a pretty nice gpu there. i just installed my opty 165 and i have oc'd it to 2584. i am going to be playing with it to see if i can get 2.7 stable. right now it is rock steady at almost stock voltage.
my best score so far is 12337

i cant use coolbits right now. i put my bfg card in the primary slot and it is already oc'd. my pny is not. for some reason with coolbits installed my pc with just keep rebooting. i have to go into safemode and remove coolbits from the registry inorder to make it work. it is too much trouble to take my cards out and redo them. i can use rivatuner to oc the card but when i reboot i must remove coolbits.
i am going to shoot for 13k this weekend.

After reading around a bit, it seems that the normal score for 2x7800GTs in SLI configuration is somewhere aroudn 9500pts, with stock frequencies, and this really depends on the CPU as well.
With your CPU (overclocked), a score of 10K is very reasonable...

well i dont have exact numbers cause i formatted between all these pulls but heres some comparison results for ya.
*all tests done with stock clock speeds and memory timings*
system:
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe, 3000 venice @ 1.8Ghz (stock)
2GB (2 x 1GB g.skill ZX PC3200) 2-3-2-5
2 - 80GB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM SATA drives in RAID-0
2 - PNY Verto 7800GT 256MB video cards in SLI (stock clock speeds)
Ultra X-Connect UV 550 Watt PSU w/ modular cables
Evercool WC-202 water cooling for CPU and both GPU's (idle temp approx 48 deg. C for CPU and GPU's, no higher than 55 deg. under a load)
Windows x64 Professional
3DMark05 was almost 10,000 with the above setup.
I swapped both 7800's for a single XFX 8600GT 256mb (540Mhz model) and got just over 9,000.
Next I did a fresh OS install, upgraded the CPU to a x2 4200 (2.2Ghz dual core) and replaced the single 8600 with a pair of XFX 8600GT 256MB XXX Edition cards (620Mhz models) and got a score of just over 11,000.
I was shocked to see that one 8600 card that retails for approx 150.00 was almost as fast as a pair of 7800's which would obviously cost a hell of a lot more money. i was also shocked to see that upgrading that single card to two FASTER versions of that same card PLUS a faster cpu only netted a 2,000 point bump

That's because your old CPU was bottlenecking the 7800GT SLI, and your new CPU is bottlenecking the 8600GT SLI, although the newer CPU would bottleneck either setup.

ok well at what point is the CPU not a bottleneck? it wasnt very long ago at all that a dual core 939 chip was kickass....... i have yet to OC it but i anticipate some great clocks based off my prior experience with the 3000 and from what the amd rep at the ces show told me
