Should see if you can find an Abit NF7 NForce2 Ultra or a DFI Lanparty NForce2 Ultra motherboard.. clock that up to 2.6Ghz+ with a Thermalright heatsink.

I'm not sure which one was the great overclocker of DFI for socket A, I can only find this one for sale online at 2 places, DFI NFII 400-AL, think you want the Lanparty NFII Ultra B...

The Asus A7N8X was also a good overclocker for socket-A:

(should be easier to find elsewhere I bet as well..)

Hard to find Abit or DFI NFII boards now, except for that NF7-S2 which I hear is not good for overclocking.

That seems like an awful lot to pay for SocketA now. I think I'd settle for a MSI K7N2 Delta or a Chaintech 7NJL6.

ya thx for looking that dfi lanparty is wat i was looking for. but kinda pricey for a socket a board i still might get it tho if i do that means i have to buy another case also GAY!!! lol

I had a K7N2 Delta-L and it was great but I ran it with a Barton 2500+ 333fsb cpu, so I just took it up to 200Mhz FSB for 2.2Ghz, didn't take anything on the board itself out of spec..

No, an 1100 watt PSU is not yet needed...but it won't be long. My 6600GT heats up my Antec 430. I can't imagine what you'd need to not stress your PSU with a dual core CPU, + twin video cards in SLI, plus 4 HDD's in RAID, throw in a Raptor or 15 grand rpm HDD for good measure, multiple optical drives, some USB powered periphials, a water cooling pump, lots of fans to keep the water and hard drives cool, etc.

Though, I would imagine that 1100 watt PSU probably in reality isn't as powerful as the PC Power and Cooling 850 watt SLI PSU.

Man that bites too, because it wasn't but a month or two ago that you could find refurbished NF7-S v2 boards for a little bit of nothing... like $30-$40. Now nobody seems to have them.

Mwave and New Egg are the ones I would keep checking... maybe they'll get some more back in.

>1k W PSU = powering your phasechange/extreme watercooling/TEC/etc all from one PSU instead of using a couple like a lot of people resort to doing... even for a second card in SLI setup.. or one just for the cards.. etc.. etc..
