A FEW of the top end overclocker motherboard manufacturers have released offerings with ATI's latest high end chipset. We have seen all of these motherboards and we know that Sapphire is about to ship its version, too.
Sapphire actually uses the highly overclockable ATI reference design board and we believe that this might be one of the best overclocking boards around. Asus overclocks well as well.
Sapphire is about to start shipping these boards branded it as Sapphire CrossFire Xpress 3200 but we don’t know the suggested retail price as yet.
Abit readying its A8T32 and it will demonstrate the board at CeBIT. Abit also promised great overclocking potential and was always overclocking and features friendly so we think it will continue this trend.
The DFI motherboard is branded as LAN Party UC CFX320-DR and comes it its usual yellow colour. It is rather interesting as the memory slots are placed in front of the socket, not behind where they usually stand. I hope that this is a good thing but those boards should be demonstrated at CeBIT and be for sale by the end of the month.
MSI and Gigabyte are very quiet about their designs and we don’t know whether they are going to make the boards based on the RD580 chipset or not. The good thing is that you have the choice.
Kinda old news but just in case for those who missed it ;)
Here are some X3200 motherboard reviews for the curious:
