On an X2 can you run one F@H on each core?

Yup, you'll have to get the console version of F@H. Download the Console version of F@H and save one each under a different folder. When configuring the settings, type Yes for advanced settings and set the Machine ID 1 and 2 for each folder repectively.

Once you're done that, run both F@H client and it should work

Does Folding@home run on dual processor machines? Yes, you can. Additional processors must run the console version (with the "-local" command-line argument if run on Windows). First, make additional directories for each processor and copy the FAH Console executable file into each. Then configure them with the -config switch, filling in settings for each. It is very important to make sure that under the "Advanced Settings" option each copy is given a unique machine ID (from 1 to 8). The first copy will default to a machine ID of 1, so additional copies should be given IDs of 2, 3, 4, etc. Each may then be run out of their installed directory, using the -local switch on windows.

Okay, I'll try that.
When I went to school today I left it running. I managed to run two at once by loading my VMWare windows XP and running one there and one in my native XP.

How long does it take to get points. Reading this thread earlier seemed like points were really hard to get but I got 410 in about 5 hours of Folding.

Wow, you're really fast
I usually make about 239 points a day 8)

Well, I clocked it back to 2GHz so I could slow my fans down and my parents wouldn't know my comp was on, but I am running 2 at once, so I *should* get about twice as many points right?

Awesome, that's better than VMWare because that used the resources to run windows twice.

For some reason my temps are lower this way too.

Hmm, I guess it was only fast at the start. I'ver run it for over a day since then and only gained 190 some points.

Points vary by the work unit, so your 24 hour average will fluctuate some..
