3 years I guess...its an HP 610. It still works fine, so haven't seen the need to replace it. Though it occasionally makes a horrible grinding noise when the head is moving along the carrage..

Thanks...Its the trash that I can afford today...25 years ago I had stuff that the big boys would envy, including two preCBS strats, two late 60's Paul standards and an early 60's Paul goldtop with P-90's, a preCBS Tele, and my favorite, a early 70's ES-335 that I should have my butt kicked for selling. Paid no more than 350 bucks for any axe I had, except a new LP Custom that I paid 500 bucks for in 1977...with case included. Between theft, selling, gifts, etc, I don't have crap!

Anyway, L to R: 1990 Standard Tele; mid-70's Jazz Bass; fairly new Epiphone SG Special, fairly new Standard Strat; in the corner is a Gibson J-55 acoustic that I bought new in 1978 (the only thing I have left from my earlier life); under them is a Hammond M-143 tonewheel spinet, along with a Leslie 120. The amp on the Leslie is a Fender Bassman 50 with the dreaded AA-371 circuit, and you can see in the lower right corner an early 70's 2 x 12 cabinet.

I just screw around with them, I quit playing for many years, started back a couple of years ago for physical therapy for two injuries to my left hand in the same year. I mostly record myself, that is the main reason I built my present computer, but haven't recorded a thing since I built it.

I am actually looking at getting an Epiphone SG, how do you like that one?

For the 120 bucks I paid for it (it was a 2nd, from musicians friend) it is a hell of a guitar. Actually, would be a damn good guitar for 200 bucks. But, it is definitely a "plain jane" guitar, only the shape is fancy. You didn't mention which SG you are looking at, but if you are looking at the G-400, it is a much prettier guitar.

The neck (on the SG Special) is fairly slim, the pickups are OK for cheap Asian pickups, and you can actually get a decent amount of sound variation from the single tone pot.

haha, yes sir. i tend to lose the little rolls of them. that, and i usually get the acid reflux / heartburn every other night. :(

Beemer
05-19-2004, 12:55 PM
If you suffer 3-4 nights a week, you may have acid reflux disease. Talk to your doctor about prevacid. Just one pill can keep you heartburn-free for up to 24 hours.

hahaha...... Rolaids spells relief!

jurtje
05-19-2004, 05:31 PM
Like Beemer said, you might want to check your doctor and get some real medicine for example omeprazol, which keeps the acids pumps from producing acid (duh).
Also you might get a panendoscopy to check whether you have ulcers in your esofagus, stomach or duodeno. And they will also check the working of your "valves"the pilor and the cardias.
Anyway, it is not to be kid with, because ulcers can turn into hemarroids and prolonged action of acid in your esofagus will give you cancer (not good).

get it checked out.

As you can see, I have quite some experience myself :x

A term I used a lot in the army....especially to describe a half-gallon of tequila.

I've been through the Rolaid thing, too....that's why I noticed. Graduated to Mylanta and Malox...straight from the bottle, didn't even bother with a spoon. Was due partially to a horrible diet including lots of caffene and sugar, and partially to mucho stress. I still have lots of stress but changed the diet. Haven't used an antacid in a couple of years.

You're too damn young to eat Rolaids like candy!

have you actually tried pooring coke on your steak? Nothing happens; Coke is just as bad as all other softdrinks, it's the gas that makes it crappy fro your stomach. Coffee and ALCOHOL is much worse (much lower pH), but like hell I'm going to stop drinking them@@@!

It's OC'd 24/7. How high depends on what CPU I have in it at the time........(got 3 of them) 2500 Barton unlocked, 2500 Barton locked and a T-Bred 2600 266 fsb. I can get the highest FSB out of the locked Barton (220) I get the highest multi out of the T-Bred. The unlocked Barton runs the best benches and the tightest ram timings...... Normally I run the unlocked Barton at 11x200 24/7 and bench it at 210x12, although I don't bench much anymore, sort of got tired of it after a while.......... Been spending most of my extra time building my custom external water cooling system........... 8)

It's another external water cooling system I built. I designed it for use with a HTPC, it's made out of wood to match a book shelf or entainment center. It's just another projest i had going on, but I don't have a HTPC so I'm using it here. I still have a few little things to due to finish the outside, but that'll have to wait till I can get around a little better.

Haha, nothing to be ashamed of with an HP, they may be nothing special but at least it's not a Dell! How I do despise their boxes (despite the fact I am posting with one now!)

As far as desks are conserned, I just have a plain old black and white one, very simple, but thats the way I like it...I want to get a second however, so I can set up some surround speakers behind (and possibly have a second system?)!

Well, the cases are kinda boring in my opinion, and of course, very cheap. The entire front is made entirely of plastic...but the case isn't really why I don't like it, pretty much everything besides the proc. is crappy and some of it is proprietary which is even worse. Not to mention the ungodly price we paid for it before I knew enough about computers to realize it was a rip off.

still rockin the MM case I see. I have briefly retired mine, since I only had one system in it and no watercooling, it was just taking up too much space on my desk.

Yah, I don't think I'll ever get rid of the thing, it simply has to many features that I use all the time. But I wouldn't mind getting one of the new modular versions so I could switch things up every now and then, just for a change.

Hey Bio your mouse is on the wrong side. ;) JK Looks like you are going to need to get a bigger desk to match that case.

Yuppers..........;), kind of a older pic though.

Seems my case is popping up all over the place lately, it was on the front page of the [H] as well yesterday.
