Want an SLI motherboard with many of the same features as “higher end” boards, but at a fraction of the cost? ECS has developed the KN1 SLI Extreme with all the goodies you’d expect from a full-featured NForce4 chipset motherboard. ECS’s top SLI board sports a host of features including two RAID controllers, dual Gigabit LAN ports, 8-channel audio, and two on-board Firewire ports. All in all, this board’s specs should make it our best “bang for your buck” socket 939 motherboard yet.

Hmm, looks good from that review but I would definatly take a closer look before buying it. I almost bought the non-SLI version but the guy at the store (thank god for going to a brick and morter shop) said it was only used in real low end stuff. It is a terrible overclocker as the board will not post over 238FSB. (as of a month or so ago, newer revisions may fix this)

edit: I would look at the eVGA NF41 SLI if you want a cheap mobo that can do SLI. I've got one and it works great, It posts up to about 280FSB(which *should* be enough if you've got a decent processor. It was cheaper to go for the eVGA than almost every other decent non-SLI S939 mobo. It is microATX so it is really small (9 x 12 inches) and has a great layout. The only downside i have found so far is the chipset fan is really noisy. Unfortunatly it is extremely low profile (10mm) and the back edge of the video card hangs over it. it has 3 PCI-E slots (1 x 16x, 2 x 8x), if you use the center one (16x) it would catch on most aftermarket heatsinks and fans. I'm getting a Zalman passive heatsink that is very big but i think i can squeeze it in, possible with mods. I will let you know how it goes.
sorry, that edit got bigger than i thought and way off topic
