im thinking of cutting my top panel in the shapes below, im still thinking if i should put plexi underneath it or a plate of metal that reflects like a mirror, and there will also come a metal mirror on the bottom of my case to hide the remaining cables, if i get my hands on a descent cam ill take some pics, image = scale 1/2

do both. put plexi and attach chrome tint on the inside of it. when you computer is not lit up from inside, it will be mirrored. when you turn the lights on, you'll be able to see what's inside.

I've seen a couple of similar case tops...they looked awesome, especially with the right lighting.

hmm ill look into that, would there be any wraps or covers to put on the plexi to give it that mirror-look w/o the lights? i did a search on painting plexi where they recommended to use automotive paint, but that wont actually let anything trough if i want a clean equal layer painted on it, maybe a wrap thats like chrome but gets transparent when light comes trough, dont know any other option to make it look like you suggested

i think you misunderstood it. you want to use Automotive Window Tinting, the stuff that comes in sheets. get it in the "chrome" style that is silver. when the lights are off, all you'll see is the silver. when you turn the lights on, they will shine through the tint. :-)

similar to what i tried to do with the LAN case, if you remember. i never was able to find the right kind of tint though
