King Kong: Your opinion

With all the hype and media surrounding the film King Kong, I was expecting it to be alot better than just a bang-bang-boom-boom-killing-dinosaurs-vs-kong-giant-insects-screaming-dieing film. Seriously, I thought that there would be something a bit more deep and moral to the story?

Come on, it's just a giant ape with some realistic flashy special effets. I'd rather just play FEAR instead of that

Eh...the story was, meh...but the cinematics were pretty impressive. And I should think you would be hard pressed to find as cool effects in FEAR as in KK. Overall, I thought it was decent, better than some of the crap that Hollywood pumps out, but not great.

I really wish they would stop doing remakes and do something original for once though...

And...like already said, I also think it was too long...it was really frustrating to watch it for almost THREE hours. :x

Haven't seen it, and probably won't until it's on DVD.
simple story, hard to see how another remake could do it better.

Saw this on the airplane when I was flying home from Sweden. I think it was a bit overrated, long, and unusually boring - the whole part with the dinosaurs was really unnecessary and shouldn't have been in the movie imo. Had some decent acting, nothing i'd really write home about though. :P

i liked it. you have to go into it with the thought that you already know what is going to happen and just enjoy the movie for what it is. the dino fight was great, but it could of done without the bug crap.

you have to admit it was much better then godzilla. now that one really sucked.
