MASSiVE: Just a heads up, IE doesn't support transparent PNGs (which is utter crap, as alpha masks are so much nicer than on/off with gifs). Go thing I use my trusty Konqueror and the occasoinal Firefox.

Speaking of IE and crap, I was working on a webpage for my Ecommerce class and found out IE doesn't pass the proper values when using the <button> tag (which is much more powerful than <input type=submit> tags. Anyways, I had to rewrite about 40 lines of code because of it, as it broke my logic in order to fix it.

talking about ie being crap; i made a site some while ago and worked mainly with tables and css, everything worked out fine on mozilla, when i looked at teh page with IE the table's sizes were all screwed up, so i changed some values but none of them would line up like i wanted them to, only in mozilla were the tables placed corretcly..really weird stuff i tell ya

I thought so...I loved that cartoon show "Gargoyles" I swear half the voices were actors from Star Trek: The Next Generation

Oh goodness, you guys don't get me started on IE's crap. I just had to rework a java script last night just to get a remote image swap to work correctly in IE. Went two weeks without knowing that people using IE couldn't even get anything to load when they clicked on a thumbnail. :?

That could partly be due to Sun Microsystems/Microsoft combined effort to bridge the gap between M$ making their own java, and Sun winning their court battle with M$ as to who has the rights to produce it. Sun was the original creator of java, and in the near future M$ will either bundle Sun's software with their o/s, or you'll just have to download the free software at Sun's site. I had an early version of XP that did not include MSJVM due to the then current lawsuit, as M$ was not allowed to ship an o/s at that point with it until the lawsuit was settled. Had to wait till the SP_1 version came out to get it, or do an upgrade install over an earlier o/s.....which sucks btw.... As a side note, I also noticed that the Sun java software sucks, and doesn't work very well in conjucntion with most MSJVM plug-ins if at all....hope their combined effort to phase out JVM improves a bit.
