Check out this article:

Now, I don't now anything at all about phase cooling but those temps listed in the review are ridiculous! And the system is predicted to sell for $350 and to drop down even to $200 which certainly very reasonable. Pretty exciting stuff, I'll have to keep an eye on it!

Tell me what you think!

Man, I can't wait. That might be my next upgrade. Instead of getting a new proc that'll go obsolete in months I'll have a cooler that'll let me OC the crap out of every comp I get for the next dozen years. And save a bunch by not buying a new system. I usually spend 1100-1500 CAD on my comps, this should give me a good halfway step for a third of the price

I know plenty about phase..
that thing if it ever makes it to market is going to be a HUGE disapointment.

Its designed with a horribly undersized 1/5hp compressor (1/3hp is the bare minumum for a decent direct die phase-change unit)

They could have the fanciest gas mixes in the world and that thing is going to have serious issues holding decent load temps. on a processor that produces any decent amount of heat.. It might do for a low powered GPU unit (but anyone serious about overclocking would pay the extra $100-200 for a unit that would do some serious work)

$350 for MAYBE ambiant?
Or $550-600 for up to -60C load?

Or learn to DIY and get the -40-60C for just under the cost of the OCZ?

Ill take the last option ;) but if I didn't have what it takes, I would pay someone to build me a decent one.. (and I know of a few people that can build other then the big boys)

btw.. OCZ is having HUGE issues shipping that thing from Korea (were they are having them built), the heavy compressors (all compressors are heavy) are ripping the case when bumped around.
