I purchased a Bigwater 745 cooling system and it says it is compatable with AMD K8 series. Are the 64 X2 part of that series? I've been looking for a couple days and have not had much luck. So any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yea, any socket 939 is comptible w/ any cooling solution listed for a K8.

The only problem that you might have have is with the top mounting bracket. Due to it being made to fit so many differant platforms, the bracket if pretty large and may need to be slightly modded to fit some AMD MoBo's to clear the components surounding the socket. But you can have the same problem with any cooling system that's made to fit more than one type of platform.

I dont think hes going to have any probs with it clearing anything on his mobo. The BigWater 745 is a water cooling kit.

Yup, I know, I did a review on a big water several years ago and they are still using the same CPU top bracket it's also the same top AMD (K8) used on many of their over sized HSF like the Big Typhoon............... And I have to trim it to get it to clear............
