I did it and also installed a new to me aquagate liquid cooling system on cpu and nf4 chip set. lowered temps by 10 degrees.

It was really easy just make sure to get one of those double edged razors because it is so thin.

We had a thread on removing the ihs. Heres the tool I found the best which can be had @ walmart. The edge on it is paper thin & suprisingly strong, not real sharp though. Took me like 5-10mins a side, was so long ago dont remember exactly.
