I bought a Thermaltake Blue Orb. I want to know if this is sufficient for my processor (Pentium D 3 Ghz). The heatsink is all aluminum, but the fan is huge and covers all of the surrounding fins. Will this be sufficent for OC and Gaming? Also, this might be bad but I think i put too much ac5 underneath it. I'm still waiting for my hd to ship, so I haven't used my rig yet. Let me know if i made a mistake and if the hsf is sufficent. If not, links to reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

Should be fine unless you are using a lot of voltage on the chip. Check out our review of the Golden Orb 2 (similar to the Blue Orb 2)

I did read the review on the Golden Orb, but that is a full copper heatsink. The Blue Orb has a copper contact plate, but aluminum heatsink fins. This is a cause of concern to me, because I have heard bad things about aluminum heatsinks, correct me if I'm wrong.

I might run at 1.9 volts if this is a sufficent HSF.

Read the review again  the Golden Orb does have aluminum fins and a copper core. The fins are just anodized a different color than the Blue Orb.

The Blue Orb is bigger than the Golden Orb though, and the fan pushes more air. So it should actually perform better.

I know. I was doing some research on how much heat single cores produce, and it handles my Dual very nicely. Check the dates
