Hey,

I installed my first watercooling kit the Kingston AWC one month ago and it's been running flawlessly 24/7 since then. My only concern is the water level, which is already at "medium" that equals to Half full.

Should i refill it now or wait until it get closer to "low" ?

From what i've read on watercooling it usually don't need any re-fill before 3months or more so i was wondering if it's normal and if there is something i can do to help the water to not vaporize so quickly.

Also when re-filling i think i must add some more anti-freeze right ? Any recommandation about that too would be appreciated.

Thanks

Wouldn't be a bad idea to inspect for leaks... I've had water level not move over a couple months, but the system was sealed very very well for the entire time.. that is the key to avoiding evaporation, good seal.

Nothing wrong with adding fluid to the system while it's running if it's easily accessible for you, just be cautious..

I always run just distilled water, you don't Need additives with distilled water, but the common ratio is 90% distilled 10% antifreeze.

Also, did you bleed the tubing first? The half resovoir could be from filling the tubes.

Thanks silenze, as it's not apparently leaking i will try to tighten the "C" rings the best i can.. and see.

And what exactly do you mean by bleeding? If you are talking about Air bubbles removal process well i can assure you that there is no bubble at all.

EDIT : Ah, i see what you meant. When i first filled it, at the end i couldn't add even 1 more drop of water .. i think it was full

Any water cooling system can lose liquid over time through permeation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permeation#Description

How fast or slow and how little or how much depends on a lot of external factors like the quality of the tubing, seals and other materials in the loop. If the system isn't leaking, just top it off and go on about your business, it's normal to have to top off a system.
