New fan

So I want to buy a new front intake fan, but I was wondering, since my mobo has two connections left for case fans, if there are any fans available which connect directly to the mobo and not to the typical molex connectors.

And also, what is a good name for fans? Maybe with a little light in there? It must be an 80 mm fan to fit.

You can get fans that use the 4pin molexes, although you won't be able to check your fan's speed. You can also get 3pin Y splitters, but you will also be unable to check the fan speeds. I have a few antec LED 80mms whcih I like myself. they are only 3 LEDs though, 4 LED fans are nicer.

Cooler Master neon 80mm fans will connect directly to your mobo, and have 4 led's.

But, unless your mobo will adjust fan speed according to temp, like some Asus boards, and instead runs the fan full speed all of the time, it will be pretty loud, if that matters to you.

You will also need to either get an extension for the wires, or add wire to them, unless you have a fan header very close to the front of the mobo, the wires are about 6" or so.

Personally, i just modded the front intake area with a pair of tinsnips and a dremel tool to make a hole large enough for a 120mm fan. They run much quieter and produce more airflow and are about the same price as an 80mm. However, in my case this fan isn't seen so there was no point in getting one with LED's on it.
