so what would be a good 120mm fan for an SI-128? I want something with a decent output but also fairly quiet. Quality is important so I want to know if anyone has first hand experience, I don't generally put too much stock in manufacturers specs as sometimes the db just doesn't seem to match the claims.

For straight up air cooling, I really like Papst fans, they cost a bit more, but they are great quality and the performance is pretty good as well.

anyone know if a 120mmx38mm will work or would I need a 120mmx25mm fan? I have a Panaflo L1A at home already, if I could use that would be awesome.

note* I dont have the SI-128 in my hands yet.

You should be able to use either 38mm or 25mm thick no problem, if the fan you have suits your need well then i guess it's allright!

Just got a silverstone FM121 fan for christmas, very nice fan and comes with 3.5" fan controller. Not too noisy when maxed out while pushing a good 121cfm, you can set it to almost dead silent while still pushing a good amount of air.

A bit pricy and overrated though, just my 0.02$

I've been hearing good things about the SilenX fans, but damn, $20 for a fan...yikes. I will have to see how this Panaflo does and if it doesn't seem to get the job done, I'll take a look at the SilenX, thanks.
