I've been thinking of building a case from scratch for a while, but I never had the right theme... until last night when I thought of building a piano.

It shouldn't be awfully hard, considering how it could be wood, and it's a pretty straightforward shape.

What do you think of this?

I would probably put the HDD under the motherboard to look nice, and have the I/O facing the far wall. The monitor could fold down and have the top fold over it, and lock shut, that would be sweet.

edit:
I can't get the picture link to work, sigh!

I don't think I've ever seen a piano case, sounds like it should be pretty sweet.

You can't hotlink bmp images, just jpg and gif, so I turned it into a regular html link for you.

Have to ask though, How big is that thing ?

I don't think i'll use legs anymore, but it's going to be about a foot and a half wide to accomodate a keyboard where the keys would be. an ATX mobo is a foot long, so it will probably be like 2' long to accomodate the mobo and PSU on the left side, maybe another 1'6" on the short side, and curviness for fun ;)
