The contest will begin on July 30, 2007 and will remain open until August 17, 2007 at Noon, CST.

hey, sorry about the late reply, i was out of town from sunday til earlier today.

kinda funny, ive never seen such anticipation for contest results here lol. anyway, i want to thank Ultra Products for providing the GRID case for giveaway, and of course everyone here that took the time to enter.

Yes I did and thank you very much to OCIA as well as Ultra for providing such a cool case with PSU!!!!
I will put it to good use and will provide pics when it's up and running.

I've been away for awhile working on my backyard. It's nearly complete but this was a nice thing to come back to for sure. :wink:

Just talked with my Ultra contact. he checked with them and apparently it was queued to ship but never did. he put in a new order and hopefully it will be going out soon.

My case arrived today. It looks like it might have had a bad trip. There's a slight bit of damage to the left door. Nothing major...with a little tweaking it should go back close to normal shape.

The rear lip that seats door to the case for screws is a bit bent so the door doesn't actually close completely.
I don't know if these photos show it well but check it out.

Was the box damaged by the UPS monkeys?

No, the box and styrofoam were both in tact in the damaged area. It looks like it happend before it was packaged.
Could have happened when they were taking out the PSU because that wasn't in there either.

I fix it though. It's really not a big deal. I'm easy like a Sunday morning.

Maybe they thought since it was free..they'd rough it up a little bit because who are you to complain about a free case.. ;)

Should be easy enough to fix I would think, but this sort of thing is happening more andf more these days. Seems to me to be a lack of quality control at the plant before the units are packaged and shipped. I'd be willing to bet that the side panel was dropped at some point and installed anyways.

Some companies are just that way I guess, if they offer up a contest prize, all you get is the basic prize without options.

What's their web site say about what's included with the case?

I guess it's a tradeoff. From the competition's info it looks like he was suppose to get the Grid + Vseries PSU, but he got a Grid + Clear side panel. There are 3 options for the Grid it seems.

I didn't even realize that. It does have a clear side panel and that wasn't the one pictured.
I think I'd rather have the one they gave me to tell ya the truth. I can pick up a PSU elsewhere.
