Have you updated the bios to the latest version? Checked the bios for any wrongful settings?

i updated the bios right before installing the processor, intel doesnt give any settings that can be changed, damn intel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i used to think intel was the only way to go for mother boards. i will never buy another one.

ive never worked with intel boards, but it sounds like the ram speed settings are set too low in the bios. i know intel doesnt allow you to change multipliers, but you should be able to adjust the MHz on the ram...
can any intel guys back me up on this?

Rma the board to intel if they can't fix it over the phone.
It should be detected automatically, you're right, there's nothing to set in the bios.
Maybe try googling your mobo for similar probs.

yeh, i would never recommend buying an intel motherboard, but since you've already got it, i'd agree that rma'ing it is probably your best bet

problem is i've had this motherboard for a couple years now. i bought it with the intention of upgrading the fsb to 533mhz , the processor to what ever it could handle and the memory to pc1066. now i find out the revision on this board doesnt support pc1066. and cant figure out why it wont run at 533mhz.

Intel board are good for one thing.....stability. When they work, they work flawlessly. When they fail...they fail magnificently. There are few if any options in the BIOS, and almost everything is autodetected. Sounds like the board has gone bunk.....but since it's got RDRAM on it I wouldn't even Bother with it anymore. PC1066 Rdram is fast, but not AS fast as more modern dual channel memory.
Go get an Asus board and some memory, OR you can try keeping the memory and the CPU and get yourself a P4T533. But only if you're determined to keep the RDRAM.
well it seems you're on a 100mhz FSB instead of 133 :?
