ok i overclocked my atahlon XP2000+ 1.6ghz to a 1.8 and my windows wont load. i was gonna put it to a lower one like about 1.7 but whenever i try to access the bios i dont see anything, just a white line or sometimes just a blue line... thanks

Um, I would try clearing the cmos.....look in your manual of your motherboard for instructions. It will reset the board back to the defaults.

So are you saying that if you do not try to enter your BIOS, you are able to pass post (until it starts loading Windows)?
'Cause if that's the case it sounds like your bios got corrupted somehow. Trying clearing CMOS first like Beemer said (jumper or removing batt), and if that doesn't work, you might try and flash your bios, but be careful with that.
In the worst case, your BIOS chip is bad and you'll have to ask your mobo manufacturer to send you a new one.

what motherboard? I know the nf7-s had a flaky bios for a while (thats why i bought a backup when i got mine :) )

hehe thanks guys, i took off the battery and put it back and now my bios is back to normal :lol: maybe i needed to put more voltage but i dont have any special cooling devices to cool it down. ill stick with my new 1.7 ghz =] ahah thank you guys for helping, really appriciate it, this is my first time overclocking ahahaha.
