yet again sorry for making a new thread here, wasnt paying any attention to what I was doing. Thanks for the info on the processor, I will prolly go with the prescott for the cache, since I dont overclock and im going to watercool, heat shouldnt be a big problem

one word....Noise

But you can get by with stock cooling, which is not terribly loud, no more noise that the fan on the radiatior of a watercooling kit...... I am just thinking about the $ here.

I agree with beemer, if not over clocking I would spend the money saved on water cooling on a high end graphics card.

nah, watercooling is much quieter than even stock air cooling. trust me, the loudest thing in my computer now is the hard drive, or the power supply fan if you are talking about fan noise

Still, I think the $ could be better spent......

Water cooling a system running at default spec = overkill.
I would trust the little fan to humm semi-silently longer than I'd remember to change the water in the kit every couple of weeks.. a lot of maintenance for nothing spectacular if you ask me, but it's not my money. :)
On a side note... many are reaching 3.4Ghz out of a 2.4C just on the retail heatsink/fan combination... (they work rather well to begin with for the most part.)

i disagree.. i would put my system up against any watercooling system and bet money that mine is quieter... its all about what fans you buy and how you set everything up :)
