So I purchased a set of Pro Media 2.1's right at a year ago, and I couldnt have been happier... well, maybe. The sound is excellent, bass to rival my old two 12's tower speakers, etc... The only thing that sucked about the speakers were the connection terminals on the back of the sub. At first glance, they appear to be the typical speaker terminals, whereas you push down the button deal, insert the wire, then release, and your done. These, on the other hand, are a pain in the ass. If you dont push them down exactly right, they will pop right out of place.
With this being the case, it is not a big surprise that I end up losing one of the buttons in a move back home from school. I compromised and managed to jam the wire in there to make contact with the metal connection terminal thingy. I found myself having to reinsert the wire every few weeks, as it would wiggle its way out.
Just a few days ago, we move into our new apartment. I get on the ground to hook up the speakers and after about an hour of screwing around, I find that the left channel speaker is dead. Yes, the same one that was missing the button terminal.
In conclusion, I look back, having spent nearly $200 for these speakers... everything is excellent except for those shitty terminals.... now i must sit here listening to the right speaker until i can afford new speakers :(
