Ok first things first I am a student, recently moved out so obviously I'm not driving a brand new BMW. For that matter I'm not driving anything with more then 2 wheels. I rely on my bicycle for transportation to and from work and starting in september, college.

Yesterday was as normal as it gets except one thing I was feeling rather sick (I work at Kentucky Fried Chicken) I assumed because of the environment at work is why I got a little bit woosy. Back on topic. I arrived home at 7:00 pm with nothing in mind but sleep and a little bit of ice cream. My grilfriend who also works at KFC had the day off so she made sure I was ok.

Today I awoke at 8:30 am as I had to work for 10. I was ready and headed the door when I saw that instead of 2 bikes there was only one, mine. I realized because of being sick I had forgotten to lock them up. I told my girlfriend and she cried, which isn't too bad cause she cries all the time but it made me furious that someone would go in behind my apartment and steal a bike that was by no means even a good bike.
She filed a missing report to the police but because she had no serial numbers or reciepts they couldn't do anything.

So I left still angry to go to work and on my way a car full of ignorant kids, who I assumed were driving a parents impala. threw a cup of pop out of the window at be, covered me in pop and laughed into the morning sunshine. Just because you have a license to drive doesn't mean you have the license to be an A- hole.

I'm currently looking in the classifieds for yardsales to replace my girlfriends bike

*sigh*

Hey man, keep your chin up.

I had a bike stolen from right infront of 711 when I was about 10, I made direct eye contact with hoodlum standing by the payphones as I walked in the door, and felt something was not right.. I picked up a soda and a candy bar, walked back outside, and of course, both the hoodlum and the bike, were gone.

Have I ever stolen anything from anyone else? No.

Whether they look good or bad, feel good or bad.. these experiences make you who you are -- because you see exactly what you don't want to become, an inconsiderate, ignorant, prick.

What goes around, comes around... I'm sure they'll get what is coming to them. It's better to try and let it roll off of your back, rather than 'bottling it up inside'. -- You can't let people get to you or you'll never get anywhere in life -- like them. :)

I'm sorry bro! That sucks! As silenze said, keep your chin up. Hey, it's not sooo bad... you've gotten to move out, and you have a girlfriend! Two things I wish I had...

BTW, good luck with college bro! First year? Living in the dorms?

Sorry about the bike man. Hate to say it tho, even if you did have serial numbers for it, chances are it's long gone, trashed etc. Some lazy prick prolly stole it as a free ride home rather than walking. As for the kids...know what that's all about. Out in Mom's car, and no life, feeling they have the right to do as they please....makes ya wish you had a firecracker with a slow burning fuse to whip back into the window of the car now doesn't it? ;)

Dude... bummer. Like they said before, what goes around comes around. That poor bastard is probably going to be riding along the street and the breaks on the bike fail and he goes flying into an intersection only to meet up with, you got it, the kids in the impala. The bike gets smashed to pieces the guy gets a broken leg and pelvis and the kids in the impala all get arrested and convicted of vehicular manslaughter. So all in all they'll get theirs .

Sorry to hear man. Life can be a bitch sometimes.

sounds like something that happened to my boss.

He owns a dry cleaning service and has 2 vans for the routes. He also has his personal truck that he was trying to sell. After finshing one of the runs he arrives back at the cleaners and gets out to load stuff into his truck to go home. Some guy comes up and wants to buy it. He asks him questions for about 20 minutes or so and asks for a test drive. My boss told him sure, just wait a second and he would be right there.

Now the truck was running because he had already cranked it to warm up before this dude came over. My boss walked over to the otherside of the van to get his stuff out and when he looked up, the guy was driving off with the truck.

The guy was going really slow, however, so my boss thought that he didn't hear him to wait. He watched him use turn signals and make his way around the loop of the parking lot. Next thing he knows the dude is gone.

They found his truck stripped bare up in a bad section of town. They left all his stuff in it just took the entire engine and tranny, plus all the electronic stuff. They even left his keys and bank statements. He got hit by some professionals it seems.
