This is on low detail, I can play on high but thought since we already have some high detail screenys I'd show some low detail. Still a good looking game even at low detail.

I always get freaked out playing games like this - even the original doom, I cant wait to get it this evening so I can go home and pee my pants when some mutant monster tries to beat the crap out of me.

I will never play this game. I watch Keith play it every now and then and it freaks me out. That guy hanging from the ceiling, yeah, I'll be sure not to be present during that part. I don't see how you guys do it without having a heart attack.

yea, 5fps at that moment.... taking the screenshot took a lot out of the graphics card.... it had to do it in sections. kinda funny to watch actually....

as for it being scary... well, yea it is....lol but thats just part of the thrill of it... kinda like watching a scary movie... you know you will be scared, but somehow, you want more :)

its scary enough during the day in a well lit room with audio low. wait til night turn out the lights, crank the audio.... wowzers!

Any computer, in any case, can be considered a "server" -- there is no prerequisite of a streamlined rackmount case for a server. It depends on the setup/uses/etc.... yeah...

It's a midtower ATX in my closet with just a keyboard, power, and cat5 cable plugged into it, heh.

Just need the ports for the services you're going to use being directed to the right IP address... (and to not be filtered by your ISP) ie; I'd run ftp, http, and ssh.. ftp for uploading, ssh to move stuff around.. http/ftp to grab stuff.. but yeah you would just ftp/ssh/http (all these should be included with a basic install of linux, btw.) to your IP address, or use a dynamic dns service to get some sort of domain to use (easier to remember obviously). Not to say that is the only way..
