Does anyone know if my Epox EP 8RDA3+ will support the Barton Mobile proc? I've been to a dedicated forum, and no one there seems to know and many are hesitant to spend the money to find out it isn't. The Epox tech there states that Epox is adamantly PC cpu oriented, and not into the mobile proc's. If anyone here has access to a mobile chip, and has an Epox board, could you try it out for me? I'd love to have the mobile myself, but may have to settle for the PC oriented Barton 2500 otherwise.

As far as I know, the only differences between the desktop and the mobile barton are that the mobile is unlocked and runs at lower voltages. They both look the same.
It could be that your board won't run the lower voltages, but that still won't stop you from running the mobile. If it can run a standard barton, there's no reason why it shouldn't run the mobile.

sounds good....my board supports voltages down into the 1.3-1.4v range....should be no problem then to run the mobile chip.

Alfonse is right, you should be good to go.
