Amen!@

Careful you don't get the "Windows has detected a new device that is way too nice to be running on this third rate no-name system" error. Got that when I was trying to upgrade an old Gateway.

ROTFL! Hey, how did you get a hold of my old computer?

Its a Walmart Xmas bundle from what...three Christmases ago. Its the kid's computer, and my wife's email computer when I am gaming.

HP PSUs are I believe Micro ATX supplys. Also MCM Electronics sells them. Good luck :) Nice mod with the duct tape though :P I was workin on an HP earlier today, the stupid thing to get to the RAM you had to remove the PCI cards, the PSU, the whole case, then unscrew 6 screws and the mobo swung out. x.x What a bitch.

fstroupe I can't believe my eyes. I was in the middle of my mod and all of a sudden I had modders block. I tried to think of something to really make my rig stand out and say, "Hey look at me, don't be jealous just because you haven't puked your insides out." That is one crazy mod. I know this is an old post but how long did you keep it that way?

I "performed the mod" probably 2 years ago this month, and finally retired the computer about 5 weeks ago.

I did have to replace the tape once or twice, its just not as durable as screws. I guess I should have used bailing wire. (also referred to as "mechanics wire") LOL

I was home schooled in ghetto engineering in the early '70s, and have studied it extensively for over 30 years.

The important things about modding are:
1. Do it they way that works for you.
2. Try something that nobody else would do.
3. Be proud and show off the work.
