Hey just got my new computer
Amd 2500+@3200+
NF7-s Motherboard
512MB DDR Ram 3200
ATI Sapphire 9600 XT 256 meg
Anyway I am psyched to finally start playing Doom 3 I get it installed and its going through the opening little movie thing before you first get control of the character and it glitches and stops although the sound keeps going, it stops at different points every time I try and this is at medium settings 800X600. I just don't get it, This is over the minimum requirements isn't it? I only have the drivers that came with the system Could that be the problem?

If we are talking about a brand name system then you definitely want to upgrade your drivers then give it a shot. Download new drivers....Uninstall old drivers, reboot, then install new drivers and reboot.

Still, you should check and make sure all Ur hardware is using all the latest & greatest drivers.

I had trouble with doom3 crashing while loading a new level. Then again I have had all sorts of troubles with it lately, I can't find a stable overclock. So for now 3.0 @ 3.0  ..........
still got the 2GB XMS pc4000 though :)

D3 doesn't like overclocking for the most part, also if prime 95 is crashing you might have some bad memory.

Just installed the latest catalyst drivers, runs great with the overclock to 3200+ and the new drivers installed...so far

Hmm... can't say that I've ever had an issue with Doom 3 -- ran it most of the time oc'd from 200 to 225 (and that's even 37.5Mhz PCI).. *shrug*
sounds like drivers..
