I feel like i'm only adding to the music :P

anyhoo, here's the run down.

I got an old slot 1 celery running @ 333 Mhz @ 66 mhz FSB (which is obviously too slow :P) which I am trying to overclock, but for some odd reason, can't.

I downloaded CPUfsb to get a higher FSB off of the mobo (damn the locked celeron multipliers!), and couldn't find out which motherboard I have, so I instead identified my PLL (WinBond W8319R-04) and tried to change the FSB . However, everytime I try and do so, but system completely freezes up. like completely. I can underclcok with sucsess, but overclocking ends up with a hard reset.

since then, i've tried to find out which mobo I have, without much luck.
SiSoft Sandra ID's the mob as a Vtech BIOS-I or l (the font makes cap I and lower l look the same). upon further inspection with the help of an identifying guide, I seem to have an Intel 440LX chipset, baby AT mobo, and a manual here (http://www.pcpartner.com.hk/support/man/intel/884103.pdf)

currently, i'm trying different settings in CPUfsb and the BIOS, I'll post here again If I come up with anything new.

Many thanks!!

You said you "downloaded CPUfsb to get a higher FSB", but can you change the FSB from the Bios? Pesonnally, I don't think your going to have much luck Over Clocking with a D/L'ed prog.

nah, i can't do it from the BIOS, i tried.

I heard of many successes with an app of this type. i've also done it on another computer.

I don't know of anyone else on this forum using progs to OC, I don't think were going to be much help. :?

I would look for a older Asus or Abit MB that supports ur Celeron on eBay, and OC it from the Bios.
However if your willing to do all that and have a little extra cash, you might consider a full upgrade to something newer while you have it torn apart.
