Decided to start a new thread instead of bringing up the old poll.

Anyway, if someone comes up with an nForce3 socket 754 mobo with PCI-E by Feb-Mar '05, I want a GeForce 6600 GT. Looks exactly like what I'm looking for.

i have a 'wish list' of new parts i want, but unfortunately, no funds to make it happen.

looks to be a pretty sweet card though, especially for the $200 price point. kinda glad that i didnt go for that fx5900 se just a few weeks ago :)

didnt nvidia make some o the new 6800 xts so that you could have two of em joined together by (i think) sli. thatd be so mint, of course you would need a dual pcie motherboard...but if youre buying the best graphics card out (and 2 of them for that matter) why not? ....i had better stop before my drool short circuits my keyboard

yup, thats true. much like the SLI of the 3DFX days, with two of these cards, you can connect them together for essentially double the performance. but i have heard it will cost around $1400 for the setup :(

GeForce 6800Ultra = 256MB GDDR3, 16 pipelines, 400MHz/1.1GHz $534
GeForce 6800GT = 256MB GDDR3, 16 pipelines, 350MHz/1GHz $375
GeForce 6800 = 128MB GDDR, 12 pipelines, 325MHz/700MHz $269
GeForce 6600GT = 128MB GDDR3, 8 pixel-pipelines, 500MHz/1GHz $200

I dunno... heh SLI would be neat but that card didn't outperform mine by much judging by the benchmarks provided..
