That's about all I can find to say about it:

Heh, looks like it's either overkill or 'rice' to use a car term. That's a large hunk of plastic, when you really don't need anything that big. Even a huge heatsink with heatpipe and fan, which will give you the lowest possible air temps, isnt that big. 'Rice'? It's large, plastic, and probably lights up. Seems rather useless...

I expect similar coolers like that to start showing up, when the dual core's become available.

lol, yeh, but jet engines provide thousands of CFM. all that thrust might rip the socket off though ;-)

They're going to have to start re-inforcing the motherboards with metal plates and make the plastic thicker if they intend to run that set-up in your average pc. Having it lay flat is one thing...can only imagine what all that added weight would do if it was standing upright.....

I've seen that cooler before, but I had no idea it was that large. Actually seeing it mounted make it look enormous. I'd say that has to be overkill for the time being.

It doesn't matter, I don't think it would even fit in my case

That literally made me nearly fall out of my seat laughing. That heatsink is ridiculous and yet another reason why Intel is insane.

I think Asus made that cooler; big mistake; big and ugly.

Wow, that is a HUGE cooler! Definitely going to be a hard fit for the (un?)lucky person installing it... Not very asthetically pleasing either... looks just a big chuck o' plastic with a heatsink & fan.

Here is a review of the big blue jet lookin cooler
http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1927
It's a "ASUS Star Ice Heatsink" and here's a quote from the review:
"If the Asus Star Ice were yellow, it would well and truly be a "lemon" in all senses of the word." :P

Here's another quote: "...the test was stopped for concern the plastic might begin to melt."
Stop? Why? That would have been awesome! :) Someone should get one of those and film it melting, who knows, that might improve its performance. :)

ROFL!!! That's what I was thinking! Does this thing need it's own runway?
God, maybe if I strap it to my back, I can fly?!?!
