I held out for the newer 8RDA3+ board myself and am as impressed with it as Playa is with the 8RDA+. the 8RDA3+, however comes with rounded IDE cables, SATA, Dual firewire, gameport, 4 USB 2.0 onboard and support for another 2, as well as the northbridge is actively cooled by a nice looking fan/heatsink combo, and the southbridge is cooled by a passive heatsink. The 3+ version also supports DDR400, and I picked it up for a whoppin 130 bucks Canadian....may be a future consideration for others looking into a reasonable cost motherboard upgrade.

i have the same board. I have had it for 1 year with only minor problems.
I also put a different heatsink on the nb. i used the blue zalman one, i forget the name. one thing that i did was lap the HS, i tested it first and the center was not touching. after lapping it is now making really great contact and is getting pretty warm.
the main problem with this board is leaking caps. you can see the caps in my link. i am not going to change the caps right now, maybe in the near future.
