Altec lansing was my vote, but I'm a bigger fan of using my stereo system. Or headphones, when I order them.

I voted for Klipish, only cause I like them......... I'm really like Caj Darkmoon though, if I want to listen to something, I turn on my Bose home theater system. You can't beat a Bose system.........

I have to go with Klipsch because thats what I currently have. I do have a problem with the left channel going out as well (how odd is that), but they are also 5-6 years old I think (there the original THX 4.1's that were the first step into great speakers on a computer)

I'd probably buy logitech next though, from what I've heard.

I run through a stereo into a pair of JBL studio monitors, coming from my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card.

I've been using a 2 Ch. 300watt Pioneer mini home stereo for the last 4 yrs.

No surround sound but make for decent PC speakers

B&W wasnt one of the options! Neither was Making your own. In living room I have B&W in my room I found a reciever a junkie stero set, and my altec's = 5.1
About 25 bucks for the whole setup. Made the read with the reciver bookshelf speakers. Center is 1 stero speaker wit vol/crtl. And fronts and bass are Altec's. Cant beat that.

For average speakers; Altec Lansing..

if you have the money, klipsch is where it's at. however, for a great all around speaker, logitech has been doing pretty well as of late.
