Over the past few months I've joined and or checked out various different forums for pc information. Many of these forums are very restrictive, and have no real conversation going on, and often spurn people for posting a link to another forum. One of the forums I visit very regularly these days is a great source of information for digital photography and graphic arts. Many knowledgeable people there with regards to that, but not as many with actual pc repair knowledge. I'm posting this link, as both this forum, and the referred to forum tend to be pretty relaxed, and enjoyable to sit back in, post in, and be able to learn something. I sorta figure the two can help each other out a bit, as this forum tends to be more oriented to pc help, with many knowledgeable people, and the other is geared into the graphic arts end of things, and maybe the two can benefit from each other's knowledge.

I wish I had all day to sit in Photoshop & 3DS Max all day, but I don't, it's a crying shame too.. :(

Give the link a click, you might find some good information there. I'm a learning digital photographer, and by no means an expert of any kind in that regard, but they like to have fun with the forum as well, same as this place. Sarcasms, wit, and some good old fashioned prodding and bugging each other to make everyone laugh is abound.

I looked for a moment, I'll probably check it out more tomorrow, getting late.
I've been using Photoshop for years now... but have been learning 3ds max in the past few months... just a lil different. ;)

I hope so, I'm usually logged into both this one and the aforementioned forum at the same time, but this one's been reallllllly quiet as of late.
I noticed Playa stirring the pot a bit with all the polls, and thus far it's working. Figured a bit of friendly interaction of members from the two would be great as both forums are pretty laid back.

I can't remember if you were around at the JMD forum, but I guess that probably either that forum or Bromy's forum pinched members from the other:D So hey it's a tried and tested tactic :D

The idea isn't to pinch, but rather to open a door to people for information, pc help, and graphic arts help etc. Tons of knowledgeable people at both, and the user base is pretty relaxed at both. There are lots of other forums I go to where bashing happens a lot, and things aren't well moderated. These two rank as my faves for the fact you can come in, have some fun, learn, and share a joke or two without people coming down on you for not knowing something, or asking a question.

Hi everyone. I see my name mentioned here lol
BTW Thanks for the link RR.
But just to clarify wording on the above quote.
JMD's forum and mine were both started up at the same time. We had a very symbiotic relationship where members flowed freely back and forth. I can even remember times when I would close the board for maintence and in my "closed" message that people would see when they came to my forum was a link to JMDS.
JMD (Joe on my board) and I have become good friends over the years.
When he decided to close his forum down, he made an announcement on the board of the impending closure and refered everyone to my board. I even remember telling him he didn't have to do that but when he did I greatly appreciated it.
Just want to clarify that, since the word "pinched" gives the appearance of something underhanded and or sleazy. Something that I would never do and the day I stoop to such a level, I will close the board. I know you didn't mean it that way Surana, but for others who are reading this, I felt I should explain.
BTW...
Nice site here.

Glad to see ya popped in Bromy! Somehow I figured you might like the feeling of the similar atmosphere, the fact that this board isn't huge as well helps with that. Very relaxed, good people here. Lots of good information, and fun as well. Figured the two of us could sorta walk back and forth, offer a different zone of pc help, graphics help etc...as many on both require both, but neither board wants to put up with slaggers and idiots. Keeping it relaxed and relatively small is never a bad thing...tends to keep up the quality of the company! ;)

Thanks for the heads up on that, I beleive someone did try to tell me earlier, but I'm graphically challenged unless it involves a mouse, set keys, and a first person shooter game ;) Still learning the rules on that issue, and it's different in every forum. It shows now :D

LOL!! Now let's not go starting that war...
We might be a bunch of crazy Canucks...but hey...this crew is good, and they're our neighbors...as I've found along the way...to many good ones to slag the bad ones....might make for some interesting political debates tho.... ;)

Ahh...come on guys..I got some of my other buds to post here...not saying ya have to...but a simple hello doesn't take much time.
Most times I'm logged into two or three forums at once and post in all of them. My two faves are the ones I tried to link to each other here....for simple reasons of relaxation, good moderation, and a decent crowd. Niether wants the slaggers and the negative, both want to help out, and both offer different aspects, and yet some similar ones as well. I have a feeling we can both contribute to the other, and I know this forum as being one who likes to contribute to other good forums, thus I posted the link.
I realize this is an overclocker forum, but yet people here have good and solid pc help knowledge in other areas, and the other forum I posted has good background and help info on graphics and digital photography, which many are into here. Come on over and at least say hullo...and grab Opera or Firefox...tabbed browsing makes it ever so easy to stay in both and switch back and forth ;)
I do have to add...with one of your current contests...this is about FORUMMING! ;)
yeah i've realized over time politics should be left off of this forum. i mean you can express what you think but just don't start anything. it's always a moderator's headache.
