Avs and sigs....

...need to have a size limit, most of the avs are so big they break the alignment of the forums, and the sigs are just getting outta hand. There no need to have 3-4 banner sized images in your signature. Yeah I can turn them ALL off, but I shouldnt have to turn em all off just because someone wants to show off their E-penis

I know *exactly* what you're talking about and I agree.

There is a size limit on the avatars, but 200 x 200 is just a little large. As for the banners... Well, when I can only see one post per page on 1024 x 768 because of the image galleries in signatures... [smilie=violent1.gif]

nah, yours is fine. leezard is just stating what i'm sure most people agree with. we just don't want this to be a advertisement board for everyone's sigs. there has to be some content too, and the content should be easier to see than the 30 sigs on each page.

How are the Av's stretching the frame? Are you talking vertically or horizontally? If horizontally, then mabye people arent writing enough. :)

I believe he means horizonatally, and I see what he means. There's that one avatar with the bird holding a gun (forget who it is) that is enormous. However, I think the titles are also somewhat responsible for this. The "I'd overclock my mouse if I could" title takes a lot of space up horizonatally and generally stretches that little user panel much more than it would otherwise be stretched.

i think maybe pickin on the user ranks are getin a little too anal but the banner deal, you know ya go too many when it takes up like 4" on my 17" flat crt with the res up on 1280x1024 [smilie=violent1.gif]

yeh, i'm not really worried about how wide the avatar fram is as long as it is still in good taste. there are limits set on it now (200x200) i think. it's not a biggie, cause it's over to the side, or at least IMO. the 4" tall sigs is what gets me. mostly cause i'm required to do more work at that point, i.e. scrolling forever. if someone's avatar is wide, it just squeezes the text of their post int a smaller section
