Im not sure how to unlock the multiplier on amd's, I would start by increasing the fsb(front side bus). Find out the specs on your memory and increase the memory voltage to that. You can turn the voltage up on your video card to 1.55v-1.6v along with overclocking it.
By the way, with the exception of overclocking the video card, all this has to be done in the bios. You will be able to get into that by pressing either F1, F2 or the delete key and holding it till the bios menu come up when you first turn on your pc.

It's about as good as it gets, as far as an OC guide.

 Thanks for your help all :!: My motherboard is the ASUS K8V, can you recommend any forceware applications and/or e-books that may steady my enquiries ?

while i cant think of any e-books, one real book would be the following:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/188641176X/qid=1099856797/sr=2-1/ref=pd_ka_b_2_1/103-2839116-8725421
i havent read it, but i do recall a few online vendors selling it a while back. might be worth a look.
also, if you have any specific questions, just post them here and im sure somebody can help ya out ;)
ASUS gives also software with that mobo to overclock and it has also A.I. overclock, so overclocking wouldn't be that difficult...

I used to use that motherboard, and still use that processor... mine ran stable with the frontside bus at 220mhz (2.2Ghz), cpu voltage at 1.6v, and everything else at default... it didn't like to overclock any more than that without giving me problems.. s'why I upgraded to the new board and got 2.3Ghz out of it..
