Over-rated

Part one was insanely overrated... *repeats self* it brought the idea of multiplayer first person shooters to consoles... a whole new audience, but it didn't revolutionize _anything_ at _all_.

My thoughts on 2; Oh that came out? I wouldn't touch a Slow Console with a 10 foot pole if you paid me to.

I think they should have came out with a PC version first

haven't owned a console in years. however, i would buy a console for other types of games, but not for FPS or 3rdPS. for me to buy a console it would have to be for something like Gran Turismo 4 or something.

Well my opinion is 100% the exact opposite of everyone else. Halo 2 is everything what it was announced to be. The storyline wasn't changed, no characters were substituted, new weapons, vehicles, levels. The fact bungie put off releasing it for a while was sort of a blow to the fans but they did the right thing. To make sure they get everything right. They incorporated new things into the game, such as making the environment dynamic and making the vehicles as well dynamic. Now that's nothing knew for computer games but as far as console goes I think it has totally raised the bar in FPS games. This game is the first XBox game that has been totally built around the online mulitplayer structure. The game has a strong single player campaign while having the great option of playing online with a friend. It also has a coop mode where you can link to xboxs together and use two tvs so there is no split screen to weaken the view of the two people playing. The new features and overall playability has increased 500%......

that's just a small portion of what I think  .

I was speaking in regards to the many people I know who think Halo started multiplayer FPS games.

Understandable. I'll agree with you there. Halo didn't start anything with multiplayer fps gaming.

Yup, they should hav made a PC version too. Halo is a fine game, but still no reason not to make it for PC. Yet it is definatly overrated.

HALO PC sucks, end of story. I have it and only played it for a week.

HALO2 is good, but not HALO greatness. My opinion? It broke my idea that series' peak with game 2, and I think H3 will be better then 2, but won't have as much following as the first because of HALO2.

I like Halo on the PC, for single player, it's much better.

I like the games - to me its nothing special, just another FPS on PC. As for the xbox - I dont enjoy playing shooting games without my mouse. I just dont like the way the controler is set up. I do enjoy playing the game against a bunch of friends though. It really has a great multiplay for the Xbox. Single player is very good. Its just another FPS for PC but on Xbox its a big step foward.

halo combat evolved has a better single player than halo 2.
but single player is crap.
its the multiplayer that is awsome.
