That is just so damn cool! But really, there is nothing there that is extremely difficult, just extremely innovative. Your old LAN case was much harder to do than that case, I'm sure.

I'm very impressed with the simplicity of the "ladder". And it turned out so great.

look for the orac3 on bit-tech, in my opinion the most beautifull case ever

I like the case that playafly linked to better, both look nice, but I think he got a bit carried away with the rust paint.

That mouse is just outright gross. :| Looks cool, but the thought of holding it makes me cringe.

lol, dood, it's the same guy ;-). the one that bit-tech just published is Piloux as a guest columnist. He made a semi-duplicate of the original case for Valve. They wanted a case to show off HL2 at events. Yes, the original was better, but he didn't want to make something exactly like the original.

Hehe, if I had been around I would have caught that before you. :P Piloux did both of those cases... G-Nome did Orac^3, if I recall correctly.

Considering I found this site through bit-tech... :)

'Don't try to cover up your mistake by ridiculing others' might be a good one to pick up on too...

Um... lets see, who is ridiculing who, you two assumed I thought the case was made by someone else, and attempted to correct me, with laughter..... I honestly didn't know who made either case, simply that the one I posted a link to, was a little nicer in my opinion...

You guys are doing the ridiculing...

lol, not ridiculing :-)

btw Caj, you aren't the only person who has come here from Bit-Tech. I've been a regular reader of their content since they were a smaller site than Virtual Hideout :-)

They have the time and creativity. The good modders create awesome cases without expensive LCDs and stuff like that, even if they do add that stuff on, the cases would still be good w/out.

Yes, but there is only so much you can do, and even basic stuff costs money.

Paint costs money
dremel stuff costs money
sleeving, fans, lighting, etc, all cost money.

Then we have the lcds and all that fun stuff :)

That's true, paint and dremel stuff is expensive, I got lucky and my dad has one. Fans, lighting? Shop for deals man, I got all the supplies for my first case mod for under $30.

last big mod project i did cost me around $100 and it wasn't really that impressive. the case i have now is only slightly modified, but right now it suits my needs. still though, i'd have to agree that modding gets expensive very quickly. for instance, Orac3 cost well over $2000 by the time it was finished.

ohh yeah.

it just adds up, but you dont notice it :)

as for some supplies, yeah you can pick them up cheap, but many times you need it right then, and cant wait for a good sale.

and i dont impulse buy when i see something for cheap either :)
